Patient Engagement With Digital Whiteboards
Patient Engagement constitutes a fundamental element within the comprehensive framework of Acute Care Engagement Solution (ACES), aiming to both educate and captivate patients.
Our platform accommodates diverse patient engagement tools, encompassing Apple iPads and Android tablets by the bedside, PCs, smart TVs, and conventional wall-mounted TVs operated through a pillow speaker interface.
Irrespective of the device employed, patients will exclusively access features and applications stipulated by the medical facility. This approach ensures a uniform and seamless user experience across all devices, encompassing a consistent interface and theme, thereby promoting continuity and streamlined support.
Bedside Tablet
The bedside tablet application is optimized for iOS and Android tablets. Upon startup, it seamlessly enters Kiosk mode, where the custom app is activated which empowers healthcare facilities to precisely curate the applications and functionalities accessible to patients.
Notably, the home screen experience is tailored to individual patients. It disseminates vital care information, prescribed educational videos, and more. Furthermore, patients can leverage this interface to submit service requests, rate the responsiveness of services, place food orders, indicate their room's status (whether visitors are welcome or restricted), and engage with the Epic Bedside native app.
In terms of entertainment, the device is flexible in integrating and installing third-party applications that healthcare facilities endorse. These can include:
- A web browser
- Streaming platforms like Netflix
- Social media such as Facebook or Twitter
- Diverse gaming and news applications
- Live TV streams through the facility's IPTV networks/apps or mobile apps linked to various networks/stations.
Upon a patient's discharge, the device undergoes an automatic reset, erasing any patient-related data and content. This process readies the device for the subsequent patient, upholding stringent privacy and data security protocols.
